The Brackit Academy

Short explanations of the platform, option terminology, and execution risks. General education, never a recommendation to enter or exit a trade.

01

Opening range breakout

The opening range is the high and low observed in the first 15 minutes of the regular session. A price touch outside this range is an observation of momentum. It does not guarantee continuation, and false breakouts can reverse quickly.

02

VWAP and trend context

Volume-weighted average price weights each price by trading volume. It summarizes where trading took place; it is not a prediction. Index alignment describes the backdrop of a setup, not the probability of a profit.

03

Read the option contract

Match the ticker, expiration, call or put, strike, and multiplier before looking at an order. Option premiums are normally quoted per share. A standard 100-share contract with a $3.00 premium costs $300 before fees. Adjusted contracts can differ.

04

Brackets and ratchets

DAY references target +15%, +25%, and +40%; SWING references target +30%, +50%, and +80%. The standard initial stop is −20%. A trailing ratchet can raise the stop reference. The backend publishes the active level; the platform does not change orders at your broker.

05

Midpoints and limit orders

The midpoint is halfway between bid and ask. It may not be available as an actual fill. A limit sets a price boundary, but an order can remain unfilled or fill partially. A stop can slip through its trigger price, so a modeled stop is not a cap on losses.

06

A useful private journal

Record actual fills and contract quantity separately from the published signal. Enter each partial exit once. Compare your results with the original references without treating simulated platform performance as your brokerage record.
